Welding Fabrication is a small business located in Sequim, Washington. Opened in 2016, Ian McAndie brings 10+ years of welding and fabrication experience to the table. An all around handyman, Ian specializes in structural builds, gates, handrail, stairs, fencing, home improvement, equipment repair, farm maintenance, home decor, and just about anything else built from metal.
Ian is part of a Sequim Pioneer family. His great-grandfather began farming in the area in the early 1900's. The farm was over 300 acres by Sequim Bay, where they raised cattle and pigs - known as the Jakeway Farm. In the 50's his grandparents, Margaret and Clarence Jakeway, bought and farmed the current location, Jakeway Farm in Carlsborg, where Welding Fabrication operates.
Ian has always enjoyed the farm life, raising beef and hay. During high school he found his niche for welding and completed his Welding Technology education achieving his AAS Degree at Peninsula College.
